‘Dream… Dare… Live it’ is the official motto of the world-famous Dakar Rally – and that’s exactly what one man and his Nissan Navara will be doing this month. Mindaugas Plukys has bought the pickup, found sponsors to help him modify it and shipped it across the Atlantic Ocean to the start line in Lima, Peru. After applying for media accreditation from event organisers, he will be following the same route as the competitors – beginning on January 6 – and sending back articles, images and video for media outlets. Le Dakar kan niet zonder de Nederlandse vrachtwagens en de Nederlandse truckers kunnen niet zonder Dakar. Er zijn maar weinig landen waar het truckklassement in de zwaarste rally ter wereld zo leeft als bij ons.
